OUR VISION

Communities that are informed, mobilized, and take action on their future, both individually and collectively.

Africa faces socio-political, economic, and ecological challenges that impact the existence and well-being of millions of individuals. Among these challenges, some are particularly crucial, such as access to healthcare, education, social justice, citizenship, democratic governance, and environmental protection. To address these issues, RAES NGO believes that local actors and communities are best positioned to find and implement solutions tailored to their problems and improve their daily lives and the future of their children. This principle of autonomy requires informed, trained, and mobilized citizens, as well as an environment conducive to dialogue. These are essential conditions for empowerment and for leading to harmonious social change.

Leverage the potential of media to serve field actors and communities!

Since its creation in 2004, RAES NGO has used media and new technologies to strengthen the health, education, and citizenship sectors in Africa. Prevention and information campaigns, publishing projects, training, radio program production, creation of educational materials, and community mobilizations… RAES NGO, together with its partners, designs tools to serve field actors and communities, enabling them to inform themselves, create spaces for dialogue, mobilize, and act on their future, both individually and collectively.

OUR MISSION

Promote social change and create an environment conducive to informed individual and collective decision-making, based on free, appropriate, and comprehensive information.

Difficulties accessing information or assimilating information that challenges social norms or disrupts established beliefs, lack of concrete and practical arguments to resist social pressures or adapt behaviors to everyday realities: these are reasons that justify the need to support and equip communities to inform themselves and make their own choices.
