RAES is a senegalese NGO, created in 2004 dedicating to working with communities across Africa to adress significant social challenges. As a result, RAES designs and/or utilizes innovative strategies to promote behaviour change in Africa and act as a hub for connecting partners and international programs, media and local civil societies.RAES trains, supports and assists local actors and communities to have access to information and to provide solutions adapted to their problems.

THE ROLE
The role of the position is key to ensure the perfect representation and implementation of the Pamoja Project activities in Cote d’Ivoire and the management of the relationship with other key initiatives related to SRHR. The post holder will play a key role in providing technical support to the sub-beneficiaries of the project to implement strategic communication campaigns. The person recruited must have a passion for gender equality and women access to sexual and reproductive health services or simply 'pro-choice'
FUNCTIONS AND TASKS
- Support the Pamoja Project Coordinator and Project Managers to effectively implement project activities
- Provide general technical and administrative support to the Pamoja team ( travel, trainings, workshops etc)
- Take meeting minutes and write activity reports as needed
- Support the drafting of terms of reference for activities, consultants, and purchase requests
- Ensure documents are filed and stored appropriately on the organisation’s Sharepoint
- Support with translation and proofreading of documents as needed
- Support the Coordinator and PMs in the development of donor reports
Main organizational relationships
- Manager: Pamoja Project coordinator
- Internal functional relationship: Executive Director, Project Managers in other Pamoja countries, Admin-finance team; Digital Marketing & Communications Manager, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Graphic Designer
- External functional relationship: Local CSO partners & activists; evaluation partner, consultant researchers and trainers; Pamoja consortium partners
KNOWLEDGE
- Undergraduate degree essential
- Knowledge of the SRHR sector and gender issues in Africa
- Knowledge of communication for change, campaigns and community-based approaches would be an asset
EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 years experience in a role providing administrative and logistical support to a team within an NGO environment
- At least 3 years' experience working in the SRHR sector is an asset
TECHNICAL COMPETENCES
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Good command of approaches and strategies used for the development and implementation of strategic communications and campaigns
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively when faced with multiple demands
- Ability to respect procedures and deadlines
- Ability to monitor and keep abreast of developments in the themes related to the project
- Excellent oral expression in French and English
- Good writing skills in French and English
- Experience of working in the field with local players in Africa;
- Full command of the Office package and Microsoft 360°
