Putting the potential of the media at the service of actors in the field and communities!

Since its creation in 2004, the ONG RAES has used the media and new technologies to strengthen the sectors of health, education and citizenship in Africa. Prevention and information campaign, publishing projects, training, design of radio broadcasts, creation of educational materials, community mobilizations... The ONG RAES designs with its partners tools at the service of actors in the field and communities, to that they can inform themselves, create spaces for dialogue, mobilize and act on their future, individually and collectively.

OUR VISION

Communities that inform themselves, mobilize and act on their future, individually and collectively.

Africa faces socio-political, economic and ecological challenges on which the existence and well-being of millions of individuals depend. Among these issues, some are particularly crucial, such as access to health, access to education, social justice, the exercise of citizenship, democratic governance and environmental protection. To face them, the NGO RAES is convinced that local actors and communities are best placed to find and implement solutions adapted to their problems and improve their daily lives as well as the future of their children. This principle of autonomy requires trained, informed and mobilized citizens as well as an environment favorable to dialogue. These are essential conditions for emancipation and leading to harmonious social change.

OUR MISSION

Promote social change and an environment conducive to informed individual and collective decision-making, based on free, appropriate and complete information.

Difficulties in accessing information or in appropriating information that comes under injunction or upsets social representations, lack of concrete and practical arguments to resist social pressures or to be able to adapt behavior to the realities of everyday life : so many reasons that justify the need to support communities and equip them to inform themselves and make their choice.
