Beginning on Thursday, December 15th, RFI will air “Au pays des Sao,” a dramatic comedy series featuring 40 Chadian actors. This series offers listeners an intimate glimpse into the family life of Bintou, a young Chadian mother.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Synopsis<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The podcast titled \u201c<\/span>Au pays des Sao<\/span><\/i>\u201d takes listeners on a journey through the family life of\u00a0Bintou, a young Chadian mother. A nurse, Bintou is married to Kouma. After their daughter, Zara, is born, the couple decides to move into Kouma\u2019s family residence, to enable them save money to be able to buy their own house. This decision raises unexpected questions across\u00a0the entire family. Between her baby and her marital life, constant criticism from her mother-in law, her job at the health centre and her relations with the flamboyant customers who visit the\u00a0family breakfast shop, Bintou\u2019s hands are full.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
