C’est la vie
Fiction in the service of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (DSSR)!
C’est la Vie! is a comprehensive communication initiative aimed at empowering young girls aged between 13 and 25, as well as women over 25, in matters of sexual and reproductive health and rights. Built around the TV series of the same name and utilizing a smart combination of standard media, off-media, digital, and community media strategies, the project seeks to disseminate scientifically accurate and culturally appropriate information to a broad audience. This information aims to trigger self-reflection and public debates about social norms, encouraging the adoption of safer behavior concerning sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health, as well as gender-based violence.
Spanning across nine West African countries, the project employs entertainment-based pedagogic methods and tools through mass media (TV, radio, web) and targeted community initiatives implemented by the Ratanga Club and local project partners.
